THE CEDARS
In 2002, Hutton built The Courts, a multi-story apartment complex for The Cedars. When the retirement facility looked to expand 15 years later, they again called on a team they could trust. “Hutton had experience on previous projects like this and knew what would work and what wouldn’t,” said Carma Wall, CEO of The Cedars.

DETAILS
Hutton and GLMV Architecture have worked with the retirement facility on two different occasions to expand its campus and help meet increased demand.
DID YOU KNOW?
Hutton led several meetings to update campus residents with project details, progress and to answer questions.

IN WITH THE NEW
The Cedars needed to update its building to offer more services. That would take a renovation of 7,500 square feet of office space, plus another 3,000 for a beauty salon and activity room. They would also build a new 8,000-square-foot addition. “Hutton got the project done on time, and within the price they had projected,” said Wall.

A JOB WELL DONE
The work was completed in phases in order to maintain emergency access to the special care unit. “I expected a few more hiccups,” said Wall. “They were pretty unbelievable in making things work for us. It was just phenomenal how well they did.”
