DODGE CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT
Hutton has been hired six times by the Dodge City School District, including two bond issues that involved multiple projects. From remodels to new builds, to simultaneous work at up to a dozen sites at a time, Hutton has delivered on time and on budget. “I’ve been involved with construction in the past, and I would have to say that Hutton is one of the best I’ve ever worked with,” said Greg Preston, principal at Soule Elementary.

Hutton has built 117 classrooms throughout the Dodge City School District since 2009.

A QUICK STUDY
Hutton hit the ground running on its very first project for the district, completing an intense remodel of a 70,000-square-foot school in 78 days over the summer break. It was completed and open in time for the school bell in August. “I said 78 days and you better have a big basement if you’re not done, because I don’t have a place for 850 students,’ said William Hammond, executive director of business and operations at USD 443. “That was the challenge, and that was the project. It got done, on time and under budget.”

CONTINUING EDUCATION
Work continues around the district and a major aspect of each of the projects is keeping kids and district employees safe. Hutton’s focus is on minimizing disruptions and communicating so everyone knows about upcoming changes. “The main thing is that they are willing to listen,” said Jay Gifford, athletic director at Dodge City High School. “Hutton is a solid choice and one you won’t forget.”
