As they outgrew their aging facility, Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital of Wichita, KS, turned to Hutton Design+Build to design and build their dream building. “This was a project I had been thinking about for more than 10 years,” said Dr. Brock Lofgreen, Medical Director at Veterinary Emergency Specialty Hospital of Wichita. “Having one team, in one building made the process move quickly and the communication was excellent.”

Hutton Design+Build designed and built 11,000 SF of new clinic space and renovated an existing 6,000 SF for support and education.

The building features vinyl wall graphics of many different animals, including an eight-foot-tall French bulldog in the lobby.
PATIENT FOCUSED
The 17,000 SF space includes exam rooms, intensive care, a large procedure area and hydrotherapy. “The impact the new space will have on our ability to take on and care for patients in this area is massive,” said Lofgreen. “Not only did we triple our surgical suites, but the flow through the building is so much better.”
