HOPENET
Housed in a building that was nearly falling in around them, HopeNet brought Hutton on board and launched a capital campaign to fund renovations and repair. “They collaborated with the architect and vendors to help us secure better pricing, and helped us network with the community, which made a huge difference in our fundraising,” said Charity Schaulis, executive director of HopeNet.

DETAILS
The non-profit organization was able to use donations to bring Hutton and Shelden Architecture onboard for a much-needed remodel.
DID YOU KNOW?
The building layout was completely reconfigured to give clients a private entry away from the street, while adding a separate leasable office space for an added revenue stream.

TRUE TO THEIR WORD
As a non-profit organization, budget and transparency are important. “You’re always concerned that construction companies are going to add on and not allow you to keep your word with donors,” said Schaulis. “With Hutton, that was not the case. They stayed on budget and finished the project even earlier than we’d anticipated.”

EXTRA EFFORT
Schaulis called the repairs, the remodel and the relationship lasting. “Hutton operates with integrity and excellence,” she said. “The quality of the construction is evident. Even two years later, I don’t have a lot of repairs. We appreciate the extra effort that was put into our project.”
