When Heartspring, a service provider for children with special needs, was ready to expand its campus, it reached out to Hutton. “I felt from day one that everyone on the job really cared about our mission,” said David Stupay, president and CEO at Heartspring. “You could tell from the quality of work that there was a level of ‘how can we help the kids of Heartspring get the best thing they can have.”
UP TO THE JOB
The new construction and remodeling project encompassed 22,879 square feet across the campus and included a new group home, a remodel and expansion of their cafeteria, and the addition of therapy and classroom space. Heartspring trusted Hutton, who had worked on a smaller project for them before. “The level of detail, the quality of work and the responsiveness of a team on a project that small gave us incredible confidence that a $5 million project would be handled with the same level of excellence,” said Stupay.
“We truly felt as though Hutton was a part of our team.”

Hutton completed the project on time and under budget. “They were great partners through the process,” said Stupay. “They listened, they wanted to understand our needs. When there were hiccups along the way, Hutton was 100 percent responsive. They fixed it, owned it, moved forward and made it right. That was huge for us.”
